Nurse case managers can be helpful and for the most part care about getting you the best treatment; however, remember they are an agent of the insurance company and tell the insurance company everything that they tell you. For example, if you are financially strapped and want to settle your case quickly, do not share this information with the nurse case manager because that information may be provided to the adjuster who will use it against you in negotiating.
